The Around the World Quilted Block is a fun and easy block to make. It is perfect to use for a table runner, cushion cover, place-mat or quilt.
These instructions will show you how to make the block and turn 3 blocks into a table runner. You can make the table runner any size you want by adding on additional blocks.
The drunkard’s path pieces are done using our no raw edge applique technique. It’s fast and easy. Each block is appliqued and quilted in the hoop.
The blocks are joined together with a regular sewing machine as well as adding the backing.
The approximate finished size of an Around the World Quilted Block Table Runner using 3 large Around the World blocks:
5×7 design: 30 inches x 10 inches
6×10 design: 36 inches x 12 inches
7×11 design: 42 inches x 14 inches
8×12 design: 48 inches x 16 inches
