Sashiko Mini Quilt
Inspired from the traditional Japanese Sashiko stitching, this Sashiko Mini Quilt uses a stitch technique that gives a similar effect to hand stitching. Using this stitch gives a more authentic look and feel to this mini quilt.
The fan designs are filled with sashiko styled stitching and the accent maple leaves are finish off this sashiko panel. The border design is also done with a sashiko styled stitch to finish off this mini quilt.
All the pieces are made entirely in the hoop. The joining together of the pieces and the backing and binding are done on a sewing machine.
This mini quilt stitches out quickly and is a fun weekend project to make.
