The tulip blocks are done using the applique technique and a feather stitch is used for the cover stitch. The feather cover stitch gives it a more authentic applique feel and has a lower stitch count.

The borders of the blocks are quilted with a feather design, which matches the feather quilting on the tulip blocks.

The tulip blocks and borders are made in the hoop. The blocks and borders are joined together with a sewing machine. The backing and binding completes the table runner and is also added to the quilted upper with a bit of sewing on your sewing machine.

Some sewing experience and knowledge is needed to join the pieces and the bind the edges.
